Big Bang’s Back

How excited am I to see a new series of “The Big Bang Theory"on Channel 4??? Very, as you can tell by the number of question marks! I’m not usually a huge fan of US sitcoms; I often feel like I’m being spoon-fed the humour and told when to laugh, but TBBT is so charming and sweet, as well as the smartest show on TV outside of BBC4, that I can’t resist it! And Sheldon is definitely one of my More

Emmerdale Break Through

I have a confession to make and this might well shock you a bit: I don’t know any farmers, don’t know how to operate a tractor, and wouldn’t be able to ascertain the difference between wheat grain and whole grain if my life depended on it AND I actually quite like Emmerdale. So I suppose you could say that this blog post is sticking up for Emmerdale, because in the last few years it’s got quite a bad rap for More

Controversial Times: Hollyoaks

posted by admin in Uncategorized

When Hollyoaks first started, I, ike many people wanting something a bit different to watch, loved it. It was new and exciting and different: the characters were interesting and the storylines were thoroughly intriguing, as well as a good mix of drama and comedy. There was nothing boring like in Emmerdale, and the drama usually came from realistic (unlike Coronation Street sometimes) situations which genuinely do crop up between sixth formers and the rest of civilization. But one of the More

The Joy Of ‘Enders

posted by admin in Uncategorized

People say that Eastenders is rubbish and a waste of time. How I laugh at these stupid and utterly redundant individuals! Because the thing is that I just don’t believe they are telling the truth: I mean, can they honestly say that they weren’t on the edge of their seat when Bradley threw himself off the top of the Queen Vic in the live episode? Or what about when Barbara Windsor (almost as well known as her alter ego Peggy More

Norris is the best thing since sliced bread.

Norris is the best thing since sliced bread.

I have watched Coronation Street for as long as my 46 years have allowed me, always running out to make a cup of tea during the adverts that always seem to be for Used campervans. I remember Ena Sharples, Annie Walker and of course the fabulous Bet Lynch. Watching the programme now is just as great- if not better, and for me at the moment it’s all down to the wonderful character of Norris and his barmy stalker/companion Mary.

Poppy joins Neighbours!

How much do you love Neighbours? I have literally followed Neighbours for twenty years, which is very sad but very true! Its fun, sunny, has ridiculous storylines and over the top characters but I can’t help loving it despite all this. I think because the programme makers know how silly the storylines are there’s often a tongue in cheek feeling to the plots and dialogue which makes it really enjoyable to watch.

The Brilliance of Britishness

The Brilliance of Britishness

Did anyone else see the series ’Luther’? It was unbelievable, probably the best thing I have seen on television in a very long time and the best bit is it was British. The program lived up to all the codes and conventions of British filming, it continuously followed the theme of realism, which many British media products are based on. The series used British humor, a mix of sarcasm, cynicism and irony teamed with the gritty reality of being a More

Entourage

An HBO production has become one of the best TV shows I have seen and definitely my favourite form of enterteinment. Entourage is a cooperatice production of the HBO television distributor and TV programmes producer which is famous for the large range of celebrities taking part in the shootings, the interesting and fascinating plot that reveals the life of the big names in the industry and enriches the ideas of people of how celebrities live.
